Role Opportunity
An opportunity to join a welcoming Psychology Directorate and to work as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist delivering and shaping services within Critical Care has opened up at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. If you are interested in making a profound impact in acute healthcare, enhancing the lives of patients, leading a small team of psychologists within this specialty and supporting MDT colleagues in a dynamic and collaborative environment then we would love to hear from you.
Main Duties
The main duties of the role are to play an active part in the Directorate of Psychology and to lead a small team of psychologists working in the Critical Care specialism in developing and delivering high quality psychological services to patients, families and carers. Supporting colleagues working in this fast paced and challenging environment will be an important element of your role. If you bring adaptability, resilience and creativity to your working life this could be an exciting opportunity to shape provision in a context where psychology is highly regarded and greatly valued.

The Directorate of Psychology works into multiple specialisms within the organisation both in acute and community contexts. We have excellent working relationships with Talking Therapies colleagues and have forged links with Universities that offer varied opportunities to contribute to the development of the profession via teaching, training and placement delivery.
