NHS GGC Clinical Scientist Role
Role Overview
NHS GGC is seeking to appoint a Clinical Scientist to act as a Medical Physics Expert and Radiation Protection Adviser within the Health Physics Service. The person appointed will contribute to radiation protection services provided by Health Physics to hospitals throughout the West and Borders of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Artificial Intelligence in Diagnostic Radiology:
- Act as lead Medical Physics Expert (MPE) for AI initiatives within diagnostic radiology for the Health Board.
- Drive the development, implementation, and oversight of AI technologies to support clinical practice.
Requirements
- Experience in the application of AI in a healthcare setting, particularly in diagnostic radiology.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good honours degree in physical sciences.
- MSc in medical physics or equivalent experience.
- State registered as a Clinical Scientist.
- Extensive experience as an RPA and an MPE in diagnostic radiology.
