About The Holistic ADHD Centre

Holistic ADHD Centre provides accessible, high-quality ADHD assessment and treatment through a holistic, person-centred and multidisciplinary model.

Our Children and Young People (CYP) pathway is designed to provide a comprehensive assessment while making the best use of each clinician’s specialist expertise. Rather than expecting one clinician to undertake the entire assessment, information is gathered systematically across the pathway and brought together through an MDT approach.

Our aim is to provide families with a clinically robust and accessible service that considers the whole child or young person — including their development, physical and mental health, education, family environment, functional difficulties and wider neurodevelopmental needs.

How our CYP assessment model works

Before the Consultant Community Paediatrician review, the child or young person will have progressed through a structured assessment pathway.

This includes initial clinical screening, collection of relevant developmental and background information, an informant/parent assessment, educational or school evidence where available, appropriate ADHD rating scales and a structured Young DIVA ADHD assessment.

The Consultant Community Paediatrician does not need to repeat the full ADHD diagnostic interview.

Instead, you will receive a structured clinical assessment pack and provide the specialist paediatric and neurodevelopmental component of the MDT assessment.

Following the paediatric review, the case progresses through the wider MDT pathway and ultimately to a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with specialist ADHD experience for psychiatric review and final clinical sign-off.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Your role

You will undertake a focused Consultant Community Paediatrician review, with approximately one hour allocated per completed case, including appropriate review of the available clinical information and documentation.

Your role will focus particularly on:

  • Reviewing relevant developmental, medical and neurodevelopmental history.
  • Considering ADHD within the context of the child or young person’s overall development and functioning.
  • Identifying potential neurodevelopmental differential diagnoses and co-occurring presentations, including autism, learning/developmental difficulties, tic disorders and other relevant conditions.
  • Considering physical and medical factors that may contribute to or affect the presentation.
  • Identifying any red flags requiring further investigation, physical assessment or onward referral.
  • Reviewing the evidence already gathered by the wider ADHD assessment team.
  • Providing a clear paediatric/neurodevelopmental formulation and recommendations.
  • Documenting your clinical findings within our structured assessment pathway.
  • Contributing to MDT decision-making and escalating complex or uncertain cases appropriately.

This is a defined specialist MDT role. You will not be expected to independently undertake every component of the ADHD assessment or duplicate structured assessments already completed by other clinicians.

About you

We are particularly interested in clinicians who:

  • Are GMC registered and appropriately included on the Specialist Register in Paediatrics.
  • Are practising or have substantial experience as a Consultant Community Paediatrician or Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician.
  • Have significant experience assessing children and young people with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental presentations.
  • Have worked within NHS Community Paediatrics, Child Development, Neurodevelopmental, ADHD and/or Autism services.
  • Have a strong understanding of developmental and neurodevelopmental differential diagnosis.
  • Are experienced in safeguarding and assessing complex presentations in children and young people.
  • Are comfortable working within a multidisciplinary and predominantly remote clinical pathway.
  • Practise in accordance with relevant professional standards, NICE guidance and evidence-based practice.

Remuneration and commitment

£125–£175 per completed case, depending on experience and the agreed scope of work.

Approximately 75 minutes of consultant time is expected per standard case, encompassing review of the relevant assessment information, focused clinical input and documentation.

The work is offered on a flexible sessional/associate basis and may be suitable alongside existing NHS, academic or independent practice commitments.

Why join The Holistic ADHD Centre?

We are developing a CYP ADHD pathway built around accessibility, clinical quality and genuine multidisciplinary working.

You will work alongside experienced ADHD clinicians, Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists and other members of the neurodevelopmental team, with structured information gathering and administrative support designed to minimise unnecessary duplication of consultant time.

We are particularly interested in clinicians who would like to help shape and develop an innovative, accessible CYP ADHD service as it grows.

To express an interest, please attach your CV and a brief summary of your experience in community/Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics and CYP ADHD assessment.
