Salary: c£34,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience) + comprehensive benefits package

Hours: 35 hours per week
Reports into: Head of Digital Capability
Working style: Hybrid - A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office. We have hubs located in London, Bristol, Manchester, and Oxford.

About the role: In this varied and rewarding role, you'll provide expert advice and practical support to customers throughout their journey, from initial engagement through to ongoing implementation and success. Using your analytical skills and sector knowledge, you'll help customers identify opportunities, overcome challenges, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
You'll build strong relationships with higher and further education providers, acting as a trusted partner and key point of contact. From leading engagement reviews and supporting service enhancements to delivering training, consultancy, and online support, you'll play a vital role in ensuring customers realise maximum value from our services.
Working closely with the Head of Digital Capability, Senior Consultants, Marketing and Communications colleagues, and other stakeholders, you'll also contribute to the development of customer-facing resources, including reports, toolkits, guidance, and you will also help raise the profile of our services through blogs, communities, sector events, and conference activity, sharing insights and promoting good practice. You will support customers using our Building Digital Capabilities service, Digital Elevation Tool, and Online surveys, bringing an understanding of digital skills and capability.
What you’ll be doing: In this role, you'll help shape and deliver digital capability services that support the education and skills sectors across the UK. Working closely with senior consultants and a wide range of stakeholders, you will:
- Support the development, launch, and continuous improvement of our digital capability products and services.
- Partner with higher education, further education, skills, and commercial customers to ensure successful onboarding, implementation, and adoption.
- Deliver consultancy and guidance that helps organisations maximise the value and impact of digital capability solutions.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, members, and internal stakeholders to drive exceptional service delivery.
- Create engaging content including case studies, blogs, customer communications, web content, and thought leadership resources.
- Contribute to vibrant digital capability networks and communities of practice, sharing insight and encouraging collaboration.
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to influence product enhancements and future development priorities.
- Champion the Jisc brand, helping raise awareness and engagement across existing and new audiences.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, communications, relationship management, and product teams to develop compelling campaigns and customer experiences.
- Measure and analyse content performance, customer engagement, and lead generation to inform continuous improvement and growth.

What we are looking for:
Essential Experience:
- Supporting customers throughout the full lifecycle, from pre-sales and onboarding to adoption, engagement, and retention.
- Producing high-quality reports, guidance, and customer-facing content.
- Understanding customer needs and translating them into practical, tailored solutions.
- Identifying and recommending resources that help customers achieve successful outcomes.
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within the Higher Education (HE), Further Education (FE), or Skills sectors.
- Delivering presentations, workshops, training sessions, or webinars.
- Working within complex, matrix, or multi-site organisations.

Desirable Skills & Attributes:
- Knowledge of the HE, FE, and Skills sectors and the ability to engage effectively with institutional leaders, professional services teams, researchers, and teaching staff.
Qualifications and training:
Essential:
- An understanding of the application of digital leadership, digital capability, and technology in organisations.
- Knowledge of the problems faced by the education sector that can be supported by digital capability products and services.
- A good understanding of the general principles and aims of data and digital capability within the education sector.
- Understand the principles of the Data Protection Act/ GDPR.
- A good degree and/or relevant professional qualification.
Desirable:
- An understanding of Accessibility guidelines under WCAG 2.1/3.
- A good knowledge of the Jisc digital capabilities framework and associated resources.
- An understanding of the Jisc building digital capabilities discovery tool.
- An understanding of staff development issues around digital capabilities.
