RSK Biocensus part of RSK Group are an award winning CIEEM company, are recruiting a tenacious and passionate Consultant Ecologist to join their growing UK ecology team. This role is permanent with full time & part time work patterns available. This role will be a hybrid role, with flexible homeworking and client site work.

As a Consultant Ecologist at RSK Biocensus you can expect to get involved with the delivery of elements of field surveys, assessment, tender and report writing and project management, on various nationwide and local projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting at all times with professional integrity, and exercising sound professional judgment within (and recognising the limits of) your competence
  • Displaying a commitment to the work that is produced, promoting RSK in a positive light to clients and competitors
  • Managing small projects (under supervision); assisting senior colleagues in managing the projects that RSK Biocensus undertakes, including managing project finances, assisting in the production of deliverables in line with the client’s expectations, and ensuring deliverables are submitted on time and to a high quality
  • Completing fieldwork, including out-of-hours surveys, travelling as required and working away from home
  • Overseeing aspects of site work and undertaking practical elements of habitat management or creation, under supervision
  • Assisting with the delivery of survey and research reports, to include document reviews, statistical analyses, licence applications, reporting, etc.

  • 1st Degree in relevant discipline
  • Relevant experience since graduation
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Species specific personal licences are desirable
  • Associate membership with CIEEM.
  • Abide by CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct.
