Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist Opportunity at Broadmoor Hospital
The Trust is seeking a consultant forensic psychiatrist to join Broadmoor Hospital. The vacancy has arisen as the result of another consultant leaving.
The successful applicant will be the Responsible Clinician for 15 patients on an increased support and assertive treatment (ISAT) ward. From time to time the specific attachments may be varied to meet the needs of the service, in discussion with the consultant.
Role and Responsibilities
- Role: Responsible Clinician for 15 patients on an ISAT ward.
- Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the Clinical Team and coordination of the Care Plan.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide administrative duties in relation to the care of patients.
- Liaise with other forensic units.

The current consultant (RC) establishment at Broadmoor Hospital is 12 Whole Time Equivalents (WTEs). There are also two part-time (0.2 PA) Consultant Psychotherapists in post. A part-time General Practitioner is also in post.
