We are a team which is keen to try new things to improve our efficiency and the service we deliver to our patients. We promote flexible working, providing our colleagues with the tools they need to work from home where appropriate. We support each other to deliver the service, try new ideas and promote personal and professional development and are keen to educate, providing placements and training for postgraduate trainees, undergraduate medical students and other allied health professionals.

Applications

We welcome applications from those looking to work either full time or less than full time.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct input to patients on the gastroenterology ward (Ward 24) at Royal Preston Hospital, provide support to resident doctors and advanced clinical practitioners (ACPs) covering ward referrals and Gastroenterology in-reach to the Emergency Department, and provide Gastroenterology in-reach to Chorley Hospital on a rotational basis
  • Participate in specialty multi-disciplinary meetings, regular governance and specialty business meetings
  • Promote high professional standards of clinical care for patients, both through direct patient care and by the maintenance of continuing professional development.
  • Develop close links with local General Practitioners and community allied health professionals to support patient care across providers
  • Exercise the freedom to develop specialist elements of the services to reflect perceived priorities within available resources.
  • Support postgraduate and undergraduate education, providing endoscopy training, supervising clinics and on the ward and participating in clinical and educational supervision

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
