About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Gastroenterologist to Co-Lead our upper GI Cancer service as part of an exciting expansion of our service this year. This post is made up of 7.625 Direct Clinical Activities and 2.375 Supporting Professional Activities. The post-holder will be on call for acute gastrointestinal bleeding rota currently covering both THH and Harefield Hospital on a 1 week in 7-8 basis. This attracts 1 PA, within the DCC allocation. The intention would be to remove the Harefield commitment from the department in the future, with a consequent 0.5PA reduction. There is an availability uplift for on-call from THHFT (currently 5%). There is no General Medical on call commitment for this post.
Applicants must hold a CCT in Gastroenterology and GIM or be within 6 months of CCT to be eligible to apply for the post.

- Dr Lean (Upper GI cancer Lead)
- Dr Postgate (ERCP and Interventional Endoscopy)
- Dr Rameshshanker (complex Interventional Endoscopy, ERCP and Endoscopy Lead)
- Dr Arun Rajendran (Endoscopy Training Lead)
- Dr Sid Oke (Nutrition Lead)
- IBD Lead post - Locum in situ - post advertised

About Us
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
