Consultant Post in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTR)

This is a full-time Gynaecologist position participating in on-call and hot week rotas. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team. A passion for Gynaecological care is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Day time gynaecology commitments would include gynaecology clinics, including PMB, hysteroscopy, and two-week wait referrals, gynaecology hot week, and operating theatre sessions.
  • Job planned to support governance and teaching roles to support the running and development of the department.

About the Trust

LTHTR is a teaching hospital serving a local population of 450,000 across Greater Preston, Chorley, and South Ribble. The Trust has approximately 4,500 births annually and a level three neonatal unit. We provide Bluebell and Rainbow clinics plus services for high-risk pregnancies having recently become the Maternal medicine Centre for Lancashire and South Cumbria. We are privileged to work closely with a nationally recognised, award-winning team of midwives dedicated to improving the birth experience for all women. We offer all four choices for place of birth. There is midwifery-led birth units at both Royal Preston Hospital and at Chorley & South Ribble Hospital and a 12-bedded obstetric unit in Royal Preston Hospital.
