Job Description: Emergency Medicine Consultant
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and dynamic consultants in Emergency Medicine. Candidates who are eager to explore new and innovative ways of delivering emergency care to our population are encouraged to apply. We are looking for competent clinicians who have a strong work ethic and can demonstrate clinical leadership. They must have experience in process management and innovation. The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team is a priority. The post holder must dual EM and PEM accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with nursing, management, education, and speciality colleagues to develop an enhanced emergency care service. This will involve service planning, service development, education, and cooperation with stakeholders.
- Develop and enhance the emergency care service across the Trust sites.
- Provide comprehensive care for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illness, and ensure the proper functioning of the department.
- Strengthen relationships with all stakeholders to improve care for emergency patients.
- Maintain GMC standards in all aspects of practice and adhere to and promote the Trust's core values.
- Undertake additional duties for limited periods within South Yorkshire and surrounding areas or at other hospitals in the event of a major disaster or incident.
