Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in fertility to join our team, based at Yeovil District Hospital.
This is a substantive 10 PA post combining a general Obstetrics and Gynaecology role at Yeovil with a cross-county fertility remit. The successful candidate will provide fertility clinics across both Yeovil District Hospital and Musgrove Park Hospital, working closely with our Fertility Nurse Specialist and endometriosis team to support a joined-up fertility service across Somerset.

The role will include:
- Assessment and management of subfertility
- Fertility ultrasound and follicular tracking
- Ovulation induction and monitoring
- Appropriate investigation of tubal and uterine factors
- Counselling and onward referral for assisted conception where required

The post holder will also contribute to the development, governance and quality improvement of fertility services across the county.
Alongside this specialist work, you will contribute to general obstetric and gynaecological care at Yeovil, including outpatient, theatre and emergency activity, and participate in the consultant 1:8 on-call rota.
