Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an outstanding Consultant Obstetrician to lead and influence the future of maternity care across Exeter and North Devon.
At a time when maternity services are under significant national focus, this role offers an exciting opportunity to provide visible, compassionate and forward-looking obstetric leadership. As Obstetric Lead, you will help shape a sustainable, high-quality model of care, support a positive safety culture, and work with multi-professional teams to deliver meaningful improvement for women, birthing people and families across Devon.
You will be supported as part of a senior leadership team committed to responding constructively to national learning, strengthening local services, reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for the communities we serve.

You will join a collaborative and supportive consultant team, working with experienced operational and clinical leaders who are committed to the future of women's services across Devon. The role offers a unique combination of strategic leadership, clinical practice, service and workforce development, with the autonomy to make a visible difference to our communities who value local access to high-quality care.

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was established in April 2022, bringing together the expertise of both the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust.
