About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity within our Rheumatology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful applicant will undertake 5 rheumatology clinics per week which will include General Rheumatology, Early Arthritis and GCA/ vasculitis clinics. The successful applicant will see rheumatology ward referrals, provide advice and guidance to primary care and support queries arising from the broader rheumatology team which include Specialist Nurses and other Allied Health Professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity within the Rheumatology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, which enjoys a unique geographical location close to London and Cambridge. Key Requirements
- Broad experience in common Rheumatological disorders including inflammatory arthritis, soft tissue disorders and connective tissue diseases
- Competent in the management of biological therapies
- Sub-specialty and clinical research interests are encouraged

Responsibilities
- Maintenance of high-quality patient centered care
- Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
- Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
- Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
- Active participation in continuing medical education
