Lead Acute Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for Urology

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and resilient Acute Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to take on a leadership role as Lead ACP for Urology. The post holder will practise autonomously within their scope of competence and professional code of conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Trust-wide responsibility for the management and supervision of ACP teams within the Urology specialty.
  • Act as a role model for professional standards and behaviours.
  • Embed policies and procedures into clinical practice.
  • Advocate for patients while recognising and responding to their vulnerabilities, rights, and diverse needs.
  • Ensure patients and their families/carers receive high-quality, compassionate support throughout the Urology pathway.

Role Requirements

  • Work across both outpatient clinics and ward environments.
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong team ethos.

Position Details

  • Permanent position.
  • Managerial line management provided by the Director of Nursing for Surgery.
  • Professional leadership from the Trust Lead for ACPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and be accountable for expert professional leadership and advanced clinical care to patients with urological conditions.
  • Competently assess, diagnose, and manage Urological patients.
  • Manage and supervise the Urology ACP teams.
