THE ROLE
FGE NexantECA seeks a technically focused Consultant for an opportunity based in London, UK or Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant industry and/or consulting experience in chemicals, low carbon molecules, energy or associated infrastructure.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering.
- Excellent standard of academic qualification.
- Chartered Engineer certificate would be an advantage.
Skills & Experience
- 5-10 years' relevant work experience, of which 5 or more years in consulting or industry.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for interacting with clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Advanced IT skills to support consulting activities.
Personal Qualities & Knowledge
- Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly on new initiatives.
- Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness.
- Understanding and commitment to equal opportunities.
- Capable of developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Passionate about sustainability and better business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate or lead in the execution, delivery and management of consultancy engagements across the sectors we serve.
- Conduct research on process technology trends, develop comparative economic models of capital and operating costs of industrial plants, and prepare detailed technoeconomic and commercial or strategic studies including written reports.
- Conduct primary research to understand key industry issues and develop market views and projections.
- Leverage first-hand industry and operational experience to provide technical insights, challenge assumptions, assess project risks and performance, and support technical due diligence, e.g. for Project Financing due diligence (Lenders’ Technical Advisory), construction/ operational monitoring.
- Work closely with clients, prepare and deliver presentations, and assist in building strong client relationships.
- Develop proposals for clients covering feasibility studies, due diligence engagements, market and pricing analyses, technology assessments and other related projects
- Develop and broaden personal knowledge and capabilities.
- Meet internal quality, time and budget constraints.
- Provide support to other team members as appropriate and assist in training and development activities.
- Occasional travel for site visits may be required.
