About the Consultancy
This is an opportunity to join a highly respected, award-winning consultancy delivering transformation across National Security, Defence and Critical National Infrastructure programmes.
The consultancy itself is made up of an agile, experienced and highly diverse team of analysts, strategists and consultants who work alongside clients to solve genuinely complex operational and organisational challenges.
Their clients operate within some of the UK’s most secure and sensitive environments and are responsible for delivering nationally important capabilities and services. Unlike traditional “big consultancy” models, this organisation operates differently. Their clients are not paying for slide decks or consultancy theatre — they are investing in trusted people who can help them design, deliver and embed meaningful change successfully.
The culture is collaborative, hands-on and delivery-focused:
- Getting close to the problem
- Working alongside client teams
- Helping organisations deliver real operational outcomes
- Bringing structure, clarity and momentum to complex programmes

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
