Pay: £125 per hour
About The Role
We are seeking experienced Consultant Oncologists to provide locum cover within a busy NHS Oncology service in Northampton.
We welcome applications from Consultants with expertise in one or more of the following tumour sites:
- Urology (Medical Oncology)
- Lung (Medical Oncology)
- Lymphoma (Clinical Oncology)
- Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) – Medical Oncology
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality cancer care while contributing your specialist expertise in a well-established oncology service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist oncology clinics and patient consultations
- Diagnose, assess and manage patients with complex oncological conditions
- Develop and oversee personalised treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
- Provide systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) where appropriate
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with the wider oncology and acute hospital teams
- Deliver high standards of safe, patient-centred care

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Medical or Clinical Oncology
- Previous NHS Consultant Oncology experience
- Expertise in one or more of the following:
- Urology (Medical Oncology)
- Lung (Medical Oncology)
- Lymphoma (Clinical Oncology)
- Cancer of Unknown Primary (Medical Oncology)
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Desirable
- Experience participating in specialist MDTs
- Teaching, audit or quality improvement experience
- Availability for ongoing locum work
