Role Overview
The Consultant will work on the successful delivery of projects for Clients as a member of project teams within a market program. This includes providing support to the Project Manager with initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects. As part of a project team, the consultant will maintain relationships with Clients and key decision makers to help identify follow-on business opportunities and maintain customer intelligence.
What You Will Do
- Work on project tasks with other team members under the supervision of a task lead and/or a project manager to ensure quality services are delivered on schedule and within available budget to meet customer requirements.
- Assist project manager with defining and sequencing project tasks, estimating task duration, and developing a project schedule as part of developing a project management plan.
- Review project management plans to understand the scope, schedule, and assigned work authorization.
- Planning and scheduling client meetings.
- Participating in client and project team meetings.
- Assist with research and data analysis, to include but not limited to assisting with conducting customer or stakeholder analyses.
- Prepare written documents, reports, and presentations.
- Develop conclusions and recommendations, write reports, and assist with client presentations.
- Assisting with giving oral presentations to Clients.
- Tracking and reporting hours spent executing projects.
- Work with individuals at all levels, provide input to reports and other deliverables, execute multiple assignments, meet agreed deadlines, and adjust to changing client demands.
- Performance quality assurance on project deliverables.
- Develop relationships with existing customers to facilitate development of new business.
- Meeting with new and existing Clients to listen to their needs.
- Communicating client needs to project managers and supervisors.
- Identify new business opportunities with existing customers for current and/or additional services.
- Participate in marketing activities, conference presentations, technical whitepapers.
- Participate in proposal development including writing proposals, estimating level of effort.
- Learn, understand, and be conversant in ABS Group products and services.
- Review published reports and news articles about existing and potential new Clients to identify customer intelligence.
- Networking to meet new potential Clients.

What You Will Need
Education and Experience
- 0-1 years of professional/work experience preferred.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience ideally in subjects related to Geography, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Science. Interest in renewable energy-related activities, including research into emerging markets, is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to gain knowledge of ABS Group products and services.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Perform research and provide analysis on research performed.
- Gather and analyze data effectively.
- Apply critical thinking to a wide variety of complex problems.
- Working knowledge of Google Maps KML file coding and ability to use AI models for programming and LLM-related activities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask in a busy consultancy business environment.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to gain working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
- Must be a UK National, or with legal right to remain.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to a Manager, Director, or Executive level position.
Working Conditions
Work is primarily sedentary; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
