Role Description
The post will support the weekday running of the Acute Medicine Unit (AMU), Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and enable a senior acute physician weekday presence within the emergency department (ED), this will be in conjunction with the 10 existing acute physicians on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate will join the team at an exciting time for the service having been rated as best in the country for overall satisfaction with doctor training in the 2026 GMC national training survey and advanced plans to introduce a Frailty SDEC and take, and to restructure the AMU including proposals for NHS England funded capital improvements.
