We specialise in residential property transactions & are now expanding. The firm supports a wide range of matters, including first-time purchases, sales, remortgages, equity transfers, and portfolio expansion, with a focus on making the legal process straightforward and low-stress. Two dedicated conveyancing teams serve both armed forces clients and civilian clients, providing tailored support that reflects each client’s circumstances. The Armed Forces Conveyancing branch understands the specific challenges of military life and offers flexible, responsive communication, while the Residential Conveyancing team provides proactive, personal service for all non-military property transactions. Integrity, professionalism, partnership with other property professionals, and outstanding client care are central to the firm’s approach.
Role Description
This is a consultancy remote role for a Private Client Lawyer. The role involves managing a caseload of private client matters, such as wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, probate, and estate administration, often in connection with clients’ property interests. The lawyer will provide clear, practical advice, draft and review legal documents, and communicate regularly with clients to explain options, progress, and next steps in an accessible manner. The role also includes maintaining accurate file records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm policies, contributing to process improvements, and supporting the development of client relationships, including those within the armed forces community and the wider residential property market.

- Professional qualification as a solicitor or chartered legal executive (CILEx) with demonstrable experience in private client work, including wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning.
- Strong technical knowledge of inheritance law, tax implications relating to estates and trusts, and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and sensitively, both in writing and verbally.
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote working environment.
- Experience collaborating with conveyancers, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and financial advisers to deliver coordinated client service.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in drafting documents, managing files, and maintaining compliant records.
- Strong IT skills, including confident use of case management systems, secure document sharing tools, and remote communication platforms.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity, professionalism, and client care, with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Experience working with armed forces clients or an understanding of the particular challenges faced by military families is advantageous.
