Consultant Psychiatrist | Part Time (22.5 hrs/wk) | Stockport, Hybrid
Care in Mind is a specialist mental health supported residential care provider working across the North of England, in partnership with the NHS and local authorities. Over the past 15 years we've built a strong track record supporting young people and young adults (16–30) with complex mental health presentations — including Complex Emotional Needs and Eating Disorders — many of whom have experienced long hospital admissions, secure care, or multiple failed placements.
Our 5-6 bedded CQC-registered services use a least restrictive relational approach and focus on stabilisation, reductions in risk, therapeutic work and supporting independence and recovery.
We're now looking for an additional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our senior clinical leadership team and be a part of this important work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
