Consultant Psychiatrist – CAMHS
Location: North West England
Salary: £180,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Pulse Psychiatry is currently recruiting for an experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join a specialist private inpatient mental health service in North West England.
This is a permanent, site-based opportunity for a Consultant who is comfortable working within an inpatient CAMHS setting and taking responsibility for the clinical care, risk management and treatment of young people.
The Role
As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will take clinical responsibility for patients admitted to the CAMHS service and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused care.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as Consultant Psychiatrist and Responsible Clinician for CAMHS inpatients
- Leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews and treatment planning
- Contributing to pre-admission assessments and decisions around suitability for admission
- Providing psychiatric input into assessment, formulation and ongoing treatment
- Working closely with the wider MDT to deliver holistic, person-centred care
- Supporting clinical governance, service improvement and quality initiatives
- Providing leadership and clinical oversight across the ward
- Contributing to ongoing professional development and collaborative working

You will need:
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- CCT or equivalent
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register
- Section 12 approval
- Approved Clinician status
- Experience working within inpatient mental health services
- Strong clinical leadership, communication and MDT working skills
Salary & Package
The role offers a salary of £180,000 per annum.
