Independent Contractor | Flexible Caseload | £225–£295 Per Completed Psychiatric Review | No Medication Titration
The Holistic ADHD Centre is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist ADHD/neurodevelopmental expertise to join our clinical team on a flexible, independent contractor basis.
Contractor Fee & Time Commitment:
The professional fee is £225–£295 per completed psychiatric review, depending on experience and agreed contractual arrangements.
Each case is expected to require up to 2.5 hours in total, which includes:
- Reviewing the patient's assessment and relevant clinical information
- Psychiatric consultation/review with the patient
- Consultant-level consideration of diagnosis, differential diagnoses and comorbidities
- Diagnostic confirmation/sign-off where clinically appropriate
- Completion of the associated psychiatric report and clinical documentation
The fee is paid per completed review rather than as an hourly rate.
The exact fee within the £225–£295 range is negotiable depending on the Consultant's experience, expertise, and agreed working arrangements.
Caseload and availability can be agreed flexibly.
There are no routine medication initiation or titration clinics associated with this role.

We have a particular interest in non-medication approaches to ADHD management and are a research-focused ADHD centre committed to contributing to the evidence base around holistic and non-pharmacological support strategies.
We recognise the important role medication can play in ADHD treatment; however, our service does not provide medication initiation or titration.
The Role
Working alongside our multidisciplinary clinical team, you will:
- Undertake specialist psychiatric reviews with patients as part of our ADHD assessment service.
- Review completed assessments and relevant clinical information.
- Consider differential diagnoses and psychiatric/neurodevelopmental comorbidities.
- Provide Consultant Psychiatrist diagnostic oversight and formal confirmation/sign-off of ADHD diagnoses where clinically appropriate.
- Provide additional psychiatric input where a presentation requires consultant-level consideration.
- Complete the associated psychiatric report and appropriate clinical documentation.
- Work within the Centre's established clinical governance framework, supported by our Service Manager.
- Where appropriate and mutually agreed, have the opportunity to support our ADHD research activities.
This is a clinical contractor position and does not include service management, leadership, or responsibility for developing the assessment pathway.
Who We're Looking For
Applicants must be GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrists with appropriate Specialist Register status and demonstrable specialist experience in ADHD and/or neurodevelopmental psychiatry.

General Adult Psychiatry experience alone is not sufficient for this role.
We are specifically looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with established experience in ADHD assessment and diagnosis who is comfortable independently reviewing clinical evidence, considering differential diagnoses, and taking professional responsibility for consultant-level diagnostic confirmation.
Experience within specialist ADHD/neurodevelopmental services, complex ADHD assessments, or ADHD research would be particularly welcomed.
