Applications are invited from suitably qualified Consultant Psychiatrists to join the NHS team within the Department of Old Age Psychiatry based in Nottingham. This post is available from between 6PAs part-time to 10PAs full-time.
This employer is one of the largest mental health NHS Trusts in the country, serving a population of over one million people across Nottinghamshire. The Trust also has strong academic links with the University of Nottingham and the Institute of Mental Health, home of the Mental Health Research Network hub for East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
You will join a fully-supported 20 bedded mixed sex functional inpatient ward and will be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patients admitted. You will be expected to offer outstanding clinical leadership to the MDT and will lead the assessment and treatment of patients under their care.

Person Requirements:
- Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC.
- Applicants that are UK trained, should ideally be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
- Applicants that are non-UK trained, will be required to show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT.
- Candidates without CCT but with MRCPsych, section 12 and AC approval with significant old age psychiatry experience are welcome to apply
- Experience of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
