The role
As Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll provide expert psychiatric leadership within the Spring Tide Intensive Therapy Programme, delivering specialist assessment and treatment for children and young people 10–18 with eating disorders.

You'll:
- Deliver specialist psychiatric assessments and evidence-based treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with young people, families and carers throughout their recovery journey
- Provide clinical leadership within a specialist multidisciplinary team
- Support service development across Sussex's CAMHS Eating Disorder pathway
- Work alongside Tier 4 providers to improve patient pathways and reduce unnecessary inpatient admissions
- Contribute to teaching, governance, research and continuous service improvement
About the service
Spring Tide is Sussex's Tier 4 Intensive Therapy Programme for children and young people with eating disorders, delivering NICE-concordant treatment within a supportive therapeutic environment.
The team includes:
- Consultant Psychiatrists and Specialty Doctors
- Clinical Psychologists
- Systemic Family Therapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Dietitians
- Nursing colleagues, Assistant Psychologists and Support Workers
What we're looking for
We're seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist who has:
- GMC Specialist Registration (or within six months)
- Approved Clinician status (or ability to obtain)
- Expertise in CAMHS Psychiatry
- Excellent leadership, communication and multidisciplinary working skills
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, service development and collaborative care
