Full-Time Consultant Psychiatrist
We are recruiting for a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) based at Saffron House in High Wycombe. In this role, you will have an active leadership role and medical responsibility for the diagnosis, management, and treatment of adults of working age and older adults who are at risk of developing a mental health crisis.
About the Role
With your expertise in Adult Psychiatry, you'll join our multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to deliver patient care through home treatment, enabling early discharge from inpatient care. You'll work closely with inpatient wards and community teams, including the Inpatient Social Work service and the Patient Flow Transformation lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior medical input and clinical leadership to the Buckinghamshire Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT)
- Take responsibility for your own patients as well as those patients seen by medical staff under your supervision
Key Components of the CRHTT Service
- Crisis response (emergency assessments and reviews)
- Intensive home treatment characterized by the availability of multiple visits each day, which are of a length and content to allow for specialist psycho-social intervention to be delivered
- Gate-keeping admissions to psychiatric beds
- Enabling early discharge from psychiatric admission

Requirements
Applicants must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register or be within six months of attaining their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or an equivalent approved indicator of training.
