- Full Time | 37.5 hours | Site Based

- Dual site role - 3 days at Mill Garth and 2 days at Dewsbury.

Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Mill Garth is a level 2 rehabilitation service for adult males. They support individuals with a range of mental health disorders. They believe that anyone with a mental health condition should be given the best chance possible to lead a happy and fulfilling life, and their aim is to provide individuals with the confidence and skills to move or return to the community.
Priory Hospital Mill Garth, Leeds, West Yorkshire is a level 2 rehabilitation service for adult males with a range of mental health disorders. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Meanwood and Leeds railway station approximately 3–4 miles from the service.
Priory Hospital Dewsbury
Based in the residential area of Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Dewsbury provides level 2 rehabilitation services divided into two wards. Care is for male patients who have mental health disorders and increasing physical health needs. They also offer neuropsychiatry support, support for older people and dementia, community-focused rehabilitation, and support for severe and enduring mental health.
Priory Hospital Dewsbury, Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire is a level 2 rehabilitation service for male patients with mental health disorders and increasing physical health needs, including neuropsychiatry, older adult and dementia care, and community-focused rehabilitation. It is accessible by public transport, with Dewsbury bus station nearby and a train station approximately 1 mile from the hospital. The M1 and M62 motorways are also within easy reach.

What you'll be doing
Both sites have compassionate teams who are committed to their patients' wellbeing.
The Consultant Psychologist will work closely with the Head of Psychology in delivering the strategic direction of the service to the hospital director/director of services/medical director. The Consultant Psychologist will ensure both the professional psychological practice and quality of the psychology department, to ensure excellence in patient experience and outcomes. You will contribute to the development of audit of services at your site and more broadly when required and asked by your Head of Psychology. To support the development and delivery of behavioral and other psychological interventions for patients and service users and provide appropriately developed psychologically informed guidance to reduce risks, aid recovery and independence. You will be required to provide consultation to the Head of Psychology and Senior Managers as required. You will be working within clinical and research governance initiatives.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential:
- Applicants must be HCPC registered with a minimum of five years’ post-registration experience at Consultant level, demonstrating leadership and strategic experience.
- Essential training includes CBT and at least two further therapeutic modalities, including at least one intervention appropriate to the patient group.
- The candidate must also have training in clinical supervision, as well as relevant understanding, experience, and training in assessment appropriate to the environment and population.
- Strong leadership and management experience, along with proven skills in service planning and development, are also required.
