Breast Screening and Imaging Service

Consultant Radiologist in Breast Services

The East of Scotland Breast Screening Service and NHS Tayside Breast Imaging Service is a combined Service based at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. The Screening Programme has a population base of 74,000 women and the Symptomatic Breast Service sees approximately 4,200 referrals per year.

Working as part of the multidisciplinary team including Consultant Radiologists, Consultant Radiographers, and Advanced Practice Radiographers, the postholder will provide a high-quality service for both screening and symptomatic patients at new patient clinics, screening assessment clinics, diagnostic procedures clinics, and MDT discussions.

Requirements

Applicants must be on GMC specialist register, eligible for entry on register, or within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR (CP) accreditation at the time of interview for the post and hold a current licence to practise.

The successful candidate will be well organised, with a high level of attention to detail, ability to make difficult decisions, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
