This is a locum fixed term appointment for a consultant radiologist with a special interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging (8PAs).

The post will be predominately based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. On Call service is based at CWH and includes cover of paediatric emergencies.

The 8PA fixed term contract comprises of 6.5 DCC sessions and up to 1.5 SPA sessions.

The job plan will be based on a 4 day week and includes sessions dedicated to reporting MSK MRI, perform MSK ultrasound and Ultrasound-guided injections. The successful candidate will already have experience in MSK imaging and intervention; and also be expected to partake in the rheumatology and orthopaedic MDTs. It is desirable to be able to perform CT and US-guided biopsies and arthrograms for MRI studies. Sessions for supporting general workload of the department will be dedicated to general CT/MRI and acute CT reporting.

The proposed job plan will be subject to change to allow for any future extended 7-day service requirement and provision of services across the entire Trust.

The applicant should be on the Specialist register of the GMC, or within 6 months of CCT and be a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent.

The successful candidate will have access to secretarial/administrator support from the Imaging department administrative/PA team. They will also have access to dedicated working office space within the radiology department where they will be able to base themselves and be part of the wider radiology team.
