Overview

The position is within the International Consultant Relations team, based in London. The primary focus of the Consultant Relations Associate is to provide proactive day-to-day support to the Head of International Consultant Relations/ Consultant Relations Directors in the execution of Allspring’s strategy for international consultants. The role works closely with the Global Consultant Relations team, the UK Institutional team, and senior leaders across the business to drive strategic initiatives, strengthen consultant relationships, and support the delivery of key business objectives.

This role requires exceptional organisational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, together with a high level of attention to detail, to deliver a consistently high-quality experience for both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will build strong collaborative relationships across the firm, maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, and demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work. The role also requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective prioritisation of multiple responsibilities, and the ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary office-based support for the International Consultant Relations team, acting as a central point of contact for consultant enquiries, requests, and ongoing relationship management activities.
  • Prepare senior team members for consultant meetings and support the delivery of consultant events, conferences, and client functions through detailed research, market analysis, stakeholder coordination, and end-to-end logistical planning.
  • Develop, coordinate, and refine high-quality presentation materials in partnership with investment teams, marketing, and other key stakeholders.
  • Project management of consultant RFPs and related business development activities, coordinating internal contributors, managing timelines, conducting reviews, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality submissions.
  • Manage consultant information requests, including due diligence questionnaires, fund and strategy questionnaires, regular reporting, and ad hoc data requests, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across the Global Consultant Relations Associate team, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, and best practice.
  • Maintain and enhance the integrity of consultant data within the firm's CRM system, ensuring information remains accurate, current, and actionable.
  • Collaborate with the Consultant Relations team on strategic planning and business development initiatives aimed at strengthening consultant relationships and increasing market penetration.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the business to ensure effective collaboration and the successful delivery of consultant-related activities.
  • Develop relationships with emerging talent and future leaders across the consultant community, supporting the firm's long-term relationship strategy.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements that improve operational effectiveness and support the timely execution of team priorities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the firm's investment capabilities, products, and solutions to support consultant engagement and business growth.

Qualifications

Preferred Skills

  • Working towards CFA/FIA/CAIA/CII in addition to some form of a Sustainability Linked qualification, for example CFA ESG Certificate or CFA Climate Certificate is encouraged.
  • IMC is a requirement before meeting clients unaccompanied to talk about products and solutions.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional analytical capability, with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex information effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Strong organisational, presentation, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of the investment management industry, including investment products, distribution channels, operational processes, regulatory requirements, and compliance considerations.
  • Experience using Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ideally Salesforce, to support relationship management and business development activities.
  • Familiarity with investment performance, analytics, and reporting platforms; experience with FactSet and Morningstar would be advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Collaborative and adaptable team player, capable of building strong relationships and working effectively across multiple business functions and geographies.
  • Proven ability to interact with senior management and operate confidently in a client-facing environment, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Commercially minded with a solutions-oriented approach to identifying and resolving client and business challenges.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and persuasively to a range of audiences.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and developing a deep understanding of the firm's investment capabilities, products, and strategic priorities.
