Role Description
The Consultant Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive role is a flexible working position based in Lincoln, but can be remotely anywhere in the country.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing a personal caseload
- Providing legal advice
- Drafting and reviewing documents
- Representing clients in negotiations and, where appropriate, proceedings

The role involves liaising with clients, other solicitors, and third parties, ensuring matters progress efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements. The Consultant role will also contribute to practice development activities, maintain accurate file management, and support the firm’s commitment to high standards of client care and professional conduct.

Salary
The role is on a fee share basis. Full details of fee income expectations will be discussed with the right candidate but it is expected that you should be easily capable of earning £50,000 upwards per annum.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate with more than 3 years post-qualification experience in Residential Conveyancing.
- Or a Qualified Chartered Legal Executive with a valid practising certificate with more than 3 years post-qualification experience in Residential Conveyancing.
- Or Licensed Conveyancers with more than 3 PQE and valid Practising certificate.
- Commercial Property experience is an advantage.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and case law accurately.
- Proven client care skills, including clear communication, empathy, and the ability to manage expectations and deadlines.
- Experience managing an independent caseload, demonstrating sound judgment, attention to detail, and effective time management.
- Comfort with remote working arrangements, including the use of legal case management systems, secure document handling, and remote communication tools.
- Commitment to ethical practice, compliance with regulatory standards, and ongoing professional development.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to business development, and help grow the firm’s profile in the local community.
