Job Title: Consultant / Senior Consultant, Market Intelligence

Full-time

Location: Islington, London

Salary: £30,000 – £50,000 (OTE £50,000 – £100,000), level and base dependent on experience

Join a successful and growing desk at a specialist recruitment consultancy with more than thirty years in the market intelligence sector.

The hire is open at either Consultant or Senior Consultant level. Title, base salary, and the scope of the desk you inherit will be set by the experience you bring, so a proven recruiter can step in and run the desk with autonomy from the outset, while someone earlier in their career will be supported to build towards that.

The market intelligence desk runs with one Director and one Researcher and holds a healthy book of business in a growing market. Clients range from FTSE 100 companies to boutique startups, across sectors from leveraged finance to celebrity research. For an established biller, that means live roles and existing relationships from week one, and a pipeline with more in it than the current headcount can work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Plans to break into new markets and geographies are underway, so this is a well-timed move, with a clear path to developing your own niche and building a team around you. Relationships sit at the centre of the work, and consultants spend a substantial amount of time out of the office at client meetings and networking events.

The culture is meritocratic and supportive; the Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, and Associate Director all joined straight from university and built their careers within the business. The team works four days a week from an Islington office, with one day from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full 360 recruitment process, providing a best-in-class service to clients and candidates.
  • Cultivate relationships across the market intelligence sector, networking in person as well as over the phone.
  • Grow the desk and book of business through existing accounts, warm leads, and new business activity.
  • Establish yourself as the go-to recruiter in your sector, with scope at Senior Consultant level to mentor and build a team beneath you.
