The Opportunity

We’re recruiting for a Consultant / Senior Consultant – Health & Social Value to be based from either our London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Reading, Taunton, or Manchester offices.

Would you like to help shape developments that deliver real, lasting benefits for communities?

At Stantec, we believe great places are designed with people and communities at their heart. We’re looking for a Health & Social Value Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our growing team and help clients deliver development and infrastructure projects that create positive outcomes for the communities they serve.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of nationally significant projects, spanning major development, regeneration, energy, transport, and water infrastructure. From new communities and garden villages to major regeneration schemes, renewable energy developments, and nationally significant transport projects, you’ll help shape projects that have a meaningful impact on people and places.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about creating better outcomes for communities and looking to develop their career within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary consultancy.

About The Role

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you’ll support the delivery and development of a broad range of Health and Social Value services, including Health Impact Assessment, Social Value, Equalities Impact Assessment, and Inclusive Design.

Working alongside experienced colleagues across our planning, environmental, and technical teams, you’ll provide advice that helps clients understand and respond to the social and health impacts of development.

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to some of the UK’s most significant development and infrastructure projects, while developing your technical expertise, client skills, and commercial experience.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Advising clients on how development can be designed with communities and their needs in mind.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of major development and infrastructure projects.
  • Delivering Health Impact Assessments, Social Value, Equalities Impact Assessments, and/or Inclusive Design services.
  • Analysing and interpreting a range of social, demographic, and health data to inform project outcomes.
  • Supporting the development of client relationships and contributing to business development activities.
  • Contributing to multidisciplinary proposals, bids, and tenders.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across planning, environmental, and technical disciplines.
  • Helping to develop and evolve our Health and Social Value services and technical approaches.
  • Supporting and, where appropriate, mentoring more junior members of the team.
  • Taking responsibility for the successful delivery and commercial performance of your work.

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll also have the opportunity to take greater ownership of projects, develop client relationships, support business development, and play an active role in developing more junior members of the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
