LF Legal is seeking a fully qualified Solicitor to join us on a consultancy basis.
This is a hybrid engagement based in the London area, with flexibility to work from home. If you hold a current practising certificate and have the experience to manage a varied caseload independently, we would like to hear from you.

The Role
We are engaging a Consultant Solicitor to manage a varied caseload, providing advice and representation in areas such as employment, family, immigration, and commercial matters, depending on experience and business needs.
This is a hybrid engagement based in the London area, with flexibility for working from home. As a self-employed consultant, you will work independently while collaborating closely with colleagues across our practice areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Meeting and communicating with clients, and managing files from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents and preparing correspondence.
- Undertaking legal research and liaising with courts and other authorities.
- Negotiating settlements where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate, compliant records in line with SRA requirements.
- Contributing to business development activities and supporting colleagues across practice areas.
- Helping to maintain the firm's client-focused approach to legal services.
Who We're Looking For
A qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate and experience in a regulated legal environment, able to work independently.
- A strong foundation in general law, with the ability to apply legal principles across multiple practice areas.
- Knowledge and experience in employment law, including advising on workplace disputes, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in family law, managing matters such as divorce, child arrangements, and related financial issues with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Skills in conveyancing and commercial real estate, including drafting, reviewing, and completing property-related transactions for individuals and businesses.
- Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues in clear, accessible language and build long-term client relationships.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and research skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, efficient case management.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting, prioritising workload effectively and meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with case management systems and standard IT tools. Additional language skills or international client experience are beneficial.

Engagement Terms
This is a consultancy engagement on a self-employed basis; it is not an offer of employment. The role is hybrid, based in the London area, with flexibility to work from home. Remuneration is to be discussed. You will have the autonomy of a self-employed consultant while benefiting from the support of an established, collaborative firm and its wider group of complementary businesses.
