NHS Lanarkshire - University Hospital Wishaw

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to appoint a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Foot and Ankle to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic Service based primarily at University Hospital Wishaw, with cross-site working as required. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking and evolving service delivering high-quality care across both elective and trauma pathways. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive F&A care, including elective surgery and treatment of routine and complex F&A trauma. The post holder will participate in diabetic foot care, including the multi-disciplinary meetings.

The post holder will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting safe, effective patient care while contributing to service development, governance, and quality improvement initiatives aligned with ongoing orthopaedic redesign programmes.

Key Requirements:

  • Fully registered with the GMC
  • Relevant Foot and Ankle experience
  • Commitment to clinical governance, teamwork, and service improvement

The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis but applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full-time. EPA’s may be available for both part-time and full-time positions.
