NHS Lanarkshire - University Hospital Wishaw
NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to appoint a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Foot and Ankle to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic Service based primarily at University Hospital Wishaw, with cross-site working as required. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking and evolving service delivering high-quality care across both elective and trauma pathways.
The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive F&A care, including elective surgery and treatment of routine and complex F&A trauma. The post holder will participate in diabetic foot care, including the multi-disciplinary meetings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive F&A care, including elective surgery and treatment of routine and complex F&A trauma.
- Participate in diabetic foot care, including the multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting safe, effective patient care.
- Contribute to service development, governance, and quality improvement initiatives aligned with ongoing orthopaedic redesign programmes.
Requirements
- Fully registered with the GMC.
- Relevant Foot and Ankle experience.
- Commitment to clinical governance, teamwork, and service improvement.
Job Details
- Offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis but applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full-time.
- EPA’s may be available for both part-time and full-time positions.
