Within Deloitte’s Human Capital practice, you will work on some of the most important and demanding programmes in Defence, Security and Justice. These programmes often sit at the intersection of operating model change, workforce transformation, digital capability and large-scale technical delivery & adoption. Success is driven by leaders who manage complex client demands, deliver with pace and discipline, and align stakeholders around defined outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to work across a range of complex engagements, developing your experience in programme leadership, technical delivery management and transformation execution. You will also benefit from Deloitte’s world-class approach to development, alongside access to our methods, tools, multidisciplinary teams and global capabilities.
Major Programmes Communities
Within Major programmes, you'll be focused on working with clients in the South and Southwest of England. Your role will allow you to:
- Lead the engineering workforce, through effective product management, scrum master and DevOps experience.
- Influence and embed delivery excellence, through project, programme and portfolio governance, and management of critical artefacts including, planning, change management and facilitation expertise.
- Drive digital transformation and our strategic advisory business, including Operating Model Design and Implementation, Business Analysis Capabilities & Scaled Agile Delivery.
- Shape the future of PMO, through effective controls and data management. Including, progress reporting, financial controls, planning, RAID management and data analysis & visualisation.
- Support the design, mobilisation and delivery of large-scale technology-enabled transformations, including delivery strategy, programme setup and governance.
- Manage programme performance across scope, budget, risk, dependencies and outcomes, helping clients maintain control and make informed decisions in fast-paced environments.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of large, complex workstreams by coordinating across business, technical and delivery teams in multi-disciplinary settings.
- Support the growth of client relationships, identifying new opportunities within both existing and new clients, and supporting proposals to win work.
- Support the development of our propositions, delivery methods and industry views on programme delivery and technical transformation.

Connect to your skills and professional experience
All applicants must hold UK security clearance or be eligible for a minimum of SC level.
Essential:
- Experience working in technical delivery environments, with the ability to apply practical delivery insight, and industry knowledge to client challenges and to the wider Deloitte team.
- Proven experience in one or more of Defence, Security and Justice, with an understanding of the delivery context, stakeholder landscape and operational environment within these sectors.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering technology-enabled projects or major programmes, either within industry or in a consulting/professional services environment.
- Commercial awareness of programme delivery and business case development, including delivery risk, financial oversight, commercial constraints, supplier ecosystems and the bid lifecycle.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, and fast-paced project environments.
- Self-motivated, adaptable and proactive.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form lasting relationships with both team members and clients.

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
