Technology & Transformation: How do you make intelligent, future-proof decisions in a world where change is the one constant? That's exactly what you'll help our clients do. You'll build trusted relationships with business stakeholders - and use the most exciting new technologies available - to create data-driven programmes that transform their organisations.
Your advice will help clients position their organisations to succeed in an ever-evolving marketplace.
As a Snowflake Engineer, you'll design, build and optimise scalable data and AI-ready solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud, helping clients modernise their data platforms and create trusted foundations for analytics, machine learning and emerging AI capabilities.
We're looking for practitioners with strong data engineering fundamentals, hands-on Snowflake experience and a passion for building scalable, secure and high-performance cloud data solutions.

These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.
Connect to your opportunity
We are seeking Snowflake Engineers to join the Snowflake Transformation & Growth team, a centre of excellence within Deloitte's Engineering, AI & Data service offering. You will work with clients, third parties and Deloitte teams on high-impact transformation programmes, including integrations and legacy data migrations. You will develop your Snowflake expertise while working with experienced multidisciplinary teams and communicating with both technical and business users.
You will apply Snowflake data engineering skills to build analytics and AI-ready data products, translating defined business and technical requirements into reliable, scalable solutions that create trusted data foundations.
Your role
As a Snowflake Engineer, you will solve our clients’ most challenging business problems by applying advanced data engineering techniques to design, deliver and operate robust and cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you may be expected to:
- Stakeholder engagement: Work with technical stakeholders and delivery leads to understand requirements and deliver data pipelines aligned with agreed architecture and designs.
- Data models: Develop and implement physical data models covering data acquisition, preprocessing, ETL/ELT integrations and deployment.
- Data migration: Support the development and operation of migration activities for legacy on-premise systems, with a focus on scale, efficiency and reliability.
- Technology assessment: Evaluate Snowflake technologies and integrate relevant changes into client solutions and internal frameworks.
- Delivery practices: Contribute to knowledge sharing, reusable code and CI/CD practices across sprint teams.
- Design, build, test and deploy: Scalable batch and near-real-time data pipelines, reusable data products and analytics solutions on Snowflake using SQL, Python, Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks and Dynamic Tables.
- Deliver across the full data engineering lifecycle: From requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment, operational readiness and continuous improvement.
- Work with clients and stakeholders: To understand business, data and technical requirements, participate in design workshops and contribute to practical solution options.
- Communicate solution choices, trade-offs, dependencies and recommendations clearly: To technical and non-technical audiences.
- Design and implement: Robust data models and ETL/ELT patterns that support enterprise reporting, analytics, machine learning and AI use cases.
- Optimise assigned pipelines and Snowflake workloads: For performance, reliability, scalability and cost, escalating engineering risks and implementing agreed mitigations.
- Embed security, role-based access control, governance, lineage and data quality into solutions: Using Snowflake capabilities such as masking policies, secure data sharing, account usage views and governance controls.
- Enable analytics, machine learning and AI solutions: By preparing trusted, governed and reusable datasets and integrating data products with downstream applications.
- Apply modern engineering practices: Including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring and data observability.
- Produce and maintain clear technical artefacts: Including data models, interface specifications, deployment documentation and operational runbooks.
- Contribute to technical reviews, reusable engineering standards and quality assurance: And share knowledge with colleagues across delivery teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
