Your Impact

As a Consulting Engineer, You Will Build Strong Trust-based Customer Relationships, Applying Technical Expertise To Design, And Implementation Of Sophisticated Data Centre And Networking Solutions That Directly Accelerate Business Outcomes. You Will

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of cutting-edge Cisco Data Centre technologies for large and complex customer network environments.
  • Leverage innovative technology to solve real-world business problems and deliver scalable, robust services.
  • Integrate emerging AI and automation methods into delivery practices to automate manual deployment processes, and support infrastructure-as-code platforms.
  • Analyze and monitor network performance providing impactful options for optimization, efficiency and capability improvements.
  • Support the team for complex problem resolution, demonstrating deep technical expertise to resolve sophisticated issues across a broad range of data centre technologies.
  • Develop and contribute digital intellectual capital, repeatable delivery frameworks, and knowledge-sharing practices.
  • Provide critical feedback to Engineering and Product organizations to influence future product roadmaps.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent, with 7+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing technical consulting, pre-sales, and/or service delivery roles.
  • Deep knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies (vPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) with strong hands-on Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K platform experience.
  • Proven experience in design and deployment of Data Centre solutions including traditional DC standalone Nexus design, Cisco VXLAN Fabric and Cisco ACI Fabric solutions using ACI MultiPod /Multisite/Remote Leaf Fabric architectures.
  • Experience integrating network services appliances (such as firewalls, IPS, load balancers, WAN optimizers) within Data Centre solution designs.
  • Professional level (e.g. CCNP, Cisco DevNet) or equivalent vendor certification (e.g. VCP) expected.

  • Strong communication and planning skills, while being self-motivated with a focus on execution.
  • Knowledge of software programmability, automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform and so on), orchestration, and/or virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with compute, virtualization, and container environments including Cisco UCS, HyperFlex, VMware, Microsoft, and Kubernetes.
  • Technical familiarity with multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud from a network integration perspective.
  • A current active UK Government Security Clearance, or willingness to be put forward for one, would be advantageous.
