Consultant Psychiatrist - ADHD & Autism Services

UKIM Psychology & Wellbeing is seeking an experienced and passionate Consultant Psychiatrist to provide senior clinical leadership across our growing ADHD and Autism services.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, patient-centred organisation committed to delivering outstanding neurodevelopmental care. You'll work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, helping to shape clinical pathways, support service development, and ensure the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based care.
With a flexible commitment of approximately 48 days per year, this role is ideal for an established Consultant Psychiatrist seeking a rewarding position that combines clinical excellence, leadership, and service improvement.
About the Role
As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide specialist expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and Autism, ensuring care is delivered in line with NICE guidance, GMC standards and best practice.
You will play a key role in supporting clinical governance, developing robust clinical pathways, advising on complex presentations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide expert diagnostic opinions using recognised frameworks including DSM-5 and ICD-11.
- Undertake and support ADHD and Autism assessments.
- Develop and review treatment plans in partnership with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
- Advise on complex and high-risk clinical presentations, including co-morbid mental health conditions.
- Maintain accurate and high-quality clinical documentation.

Clinical Leadership & Service Development
- Lead the development and review of evidence-based clinical standards and protocols.
- Support the ongoing development of ADHD and Autism assessment and treatment pathways.
- Promote high-quality, consistent and defensible clinical decision-making.
- Contribute to service innovation and quality improvement initiatives.
Clinical Governance
- Participate in clinical audits, service evaluations and governance activities.
- Support risk management and incident review processes.
- Champion safe, effective and high-quality clinical practice.
Multidisciplinary Working
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in MDT meetings, case discussions and pathway reviews.
- Provide expert guidance and clinical leadership across the service.
Supervision & Professional Support
- Support and advise clinical colleagues.
- Contribute to learning, reflective practice and professional development activities.
- Promote clinical excellence and best practice throughout the organisation.
About You

Essential Qualifications
- Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise.
- Consultant Psychiatrist with inclusion on, or eligibility for inclusion on, the GMC Specialist Register.
- Specialist training and experience in ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Essential Experience
- Post-qualification experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
- Experience assessing and diagnosing ADHD and/or Autism.
- Experience managing complex and co-morbid presentations.
- Experience developing treatment plans and providing specialist clinical advice.
- Experience contributing to clinical governance, audit and service development.
