Consulting Veterinary Surgeon - London Fields, East London

At Hello Vet we treat pets and people better. We're building the next generation of general practice: putting our people first and using technology that helps rather than gets in the way. We're looking for a consulting vet to join our London Fields pod: our hub at London Fields and our four nearby clinics in Clapton, Columbia Road, Victoria Park and De Beauvoir.

If consulting is the part of the job you enjoy most, this role is for you. We're looking for an experienced vet who is confident leading conversations about work-ups and treatment plans, and who wants to use those skills in a practice built around contextualised care and transparency with clients.

There's no surgical requirement. You'll work a 4-day week, with weekends shared fairly across the team. Some shifts, including weekends, may involve medical work-ups such as bloods, imaging and hospitalised cases. If you'd like to build your medical or scanning skills further, we'll support that too.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
