Location & working arrangement

Nuneaton, UK | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week

We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at our Holland & Barrett office in Nuneaton for a minimum of 2 days per week. Occasional UK travel may also be required.

About The Role & Team

Great insight starts with understanding people. As a Consumer & Category Insight Manager, you'll help put the customer voice at the heart of our commercial, category and innovation decisions.

You'll work across product development, innovation and category growth, using research and market understanding to uncover what customers need, think and do, then turn those findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

You'll join a close-knit team with strong relationships across the business, with the opportunity to make a visible commercial and customer impact in a growing health and wellness organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and deliver consumer and category research from brief through to fieldwork, analysis and reporting
  • Lead qualitative research including focus groups, in-depth interviews and field studies
  • Design and deliver quantitative surveys, including questionnaire development and sample management
  • Deliver concept, product and packaging testing across the innovation journey
  • Analyse customer, category, market and competitor information to identify opportunities
  • Bring together internal and external research to create clear, compelling insights
  • Present findings and recommendations, helping stakeholders challenge assumptions and make informed decisions
  • Support the H&B Connections Panel and manage research agencies and fieldwork to ensure quality and rigour

What you'll bring

  • Experience in market research is essential
  • Hands on experience across both qualitative and quantitative research is essential
  • Experience delivering consumer research projects end to end
  • Experience in product, concept or packaging testing
  • Strong analysis, synthesis and insight storytelling skills
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and translating research into commercial action
  • Experience managing research agencies or vendors
  • Retail or consumer goods experience is preferred
