Consumer Insights Manager

Handle Recruitment is seeking a Consumer Insights Manager for a global sports tour, one of the world's fastest-growing sports.

£50,000 to £58,000 based on experience
Central London (office-based, 5 days per week) with travel to tournaments and events
Permanent | Full Time

Position Summary

Our client is looking for a Consumer Insights Manager to help better understand their fans, markets, players, and partners by turning data into actionable insights. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping marketing, commercial, and business strategies, ensuring decisions are driven by a strong understanding of the audience and continued business growth.

The role will operate as a shared resource across the Marketing & Communications and Commercial teams. Out-of-hours work may be required during tournament weeks, and the successful candidate will travel to tournaments on a rotational basis with other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Turn data into actionable insights that drive fan growth, commercial opportunities, and business performance.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to help teams measure success and make informed decisions.
  • Lead brand tracking, audience research, and competitive analysis.
  • Analyse fan behaviour and performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, and Business Development teams to support revenue growth and partner value.
  • Translate complex data into clear, engaging presentations and recommendations.
  • Support sponsorship effectiveness studies, campaign measurement, and thought leadership projects.
  • Identify new data sources, technologies, and AI-driven methodologies to improve insight capabilities.
  • Share key findings internally and externally through presentations, reports, newsletters, and industry content.
  • Act as a trusted expert on fan behaviour, consumer trends, and developments across the sports and entertainment landscape.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in insights, research, analytics, or a media-focused role, ideally within sport, media, or entertainment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualisation.
  • Excellent storytelling and presentation skills.
  • A curious mindset with a passion for understanding fans, identifying trends, and uncovering opportunities.
  • Interest in emerging technologies, AI, and data innovation.
  • Strong organisation and workload management skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders.
  • A passion for sport, entertainment, and media.
