We're seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Consumer Lending Officer to join our Credit & Collections team.

This role plays a critical part in supporting our vacation ownership business by conducting quality credit assessments, reviewing loan applications, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with Sales, Sales Administration, and Consumer Finance teams to help customers complete their ownership journey while maintaining responsible lending practices.

How You'll Shine

As a Consumer Lending Officer, you will:

  • Complete high-quality credit assessments for new and upgrading owners.
  • Review sales contracts and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Analyze and evaluate credit applications using financial documentation, serviceability assessments, and customer history.
  • Assess customer eligibility and verify income and expense information.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and SMS to obtain required documentation and clarify application details.
  • Process applications and supporting information within required timeframes.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient application processing and positive customer outcomes.
  • Identify potential compliance concerns and escalate issues when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems.
  • Support quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for professionals who combine strong analytical thinking with excellent customer service skills.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Experience in consumer lending, credit underwriting, banking, finance, or a related field, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Previous customer service experience and the ability to build rapport with customers professionally and confidently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines and performance targets.
  • Sound numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute positively within a team environment.
