Contracts Manager – Civil Engineering

Bristol / South West

Up to £70,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Permanent | Full Time

An established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen its regional delivery team across the South West.

This is a senior operational role with responsibility for overseeing multiple highways and civil engineering projects, leading project delivery teams and working closely with commercial, planning and pre-construction functions.

You will take responsibility for successful project delivery while developing strong client relationships and supporting future work-winning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple civil engineering and highways projects across the region
  • Lead and support Project Managers and site delivery teams
  • Take responsibility for programme, quality, safety and overall project performance
  • Work collaboratively with commercial, planning and pre-construction teams
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners
  • Support tendering and future work-winning opportunities
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective measures where required
  • Identify opportunities for continued growth across existing and future projects
  • Drive best practice and continuous improvement across project teams

About You

  • Previous experience at Contracts Manager level within civil engineering, highways or infrastructure
  • Strong operational delivery background
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects and project teams
  • Good commercial and contractual awareness
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Strong leadership, communication and client-facing skills
  • SMSTS
  • Full UK driving licence
