Job Title: Container Security Engineer
Duration: long-term contract (inside IR35)
Location: x2-3 days to Birmingham
Visa: Only UK Citizen/ILR
Role Description:
We are looking for a Container Security Engineer to secure Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads across development and production environments. The role will focus on vulnerability management, security automation, policy enforcement, and collaboration with DevOps teams to ensure secure container deployments throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Secure and monitor Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads across environments.
- Integrate container image vulnerability scanning into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Trivy, Prisma Cloud, Aqua or Snyk.
- Implement Kubernetes admission controls and security policies to prevent deployment of vulnerable images.
- Monitor running workloads for newly discovered CVEs and security vulnerabilities.
- Assess Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts and configurations for security risks and misconfigurations.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to remediate vulnerabilities in container images, dependencies, and Kubernetes workloads.
- Manage vulnerability reporting, prioritisation and remediation across container registries and Kubernetes environments.
- Promote and implement container and Kubernetes security best practices across the SDLC.
