Job title: Container Operations Manager
Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
Location: Stowmarket
We are recruiting for an established logistics and freight business that is looking for an experienced Container Operations Manager to take responsibility for its container operation.
The Role - Container Operations Manager
- Run the day-to-day FCL / container operation
- Manage container movements from collection through to delivery
- Plan and coordinate vehicles, drivers and jobs
- Liaise with ports, depots, hauliers and customers
- Deal with any operational issues as they arise
- Monitor costs and keep the operation running efficiently
- Use TOPS to manage container movements
- Help improve processes and the way the operation runs
- Take responsibility for the overall performance of the FCL operation
- Provide support outside normal hours when required

What We're Looking For - Container Operations Manager
- Previous experience in container haulage
- Experience managing or coordinating container movements
- Good knowledge of TOPS
- Confident dealing with customers, hauliers, ports and depots
- Able to take ownership and make decisions
- Organised and commercially minded
- Someone who can manage the operation independently

Package
- £43,000, depending on experience
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays
