Content and Communications Officer

Working with our Communications and Marketing Manager, you will help deliver clear, engaging and accessible communications across the Council for British Archaeology’s work.

The Content and Communications Officer will have an important role to play in the delivery of the CBA’s NLHF funded project Archaeology Connected. Central to this role will be leading the delivery of the Participatory Content strand of the project including; creating and activating a content calendar; overseeing website and CRM content; leading a comprehensive content audit; and developing and delivering content reactivation and pilot activities such as podcasts, video, and repurposed digital content. This work will enable the CBA to better understand the breadth and value of its existing content, increase participation through more regular and inclusive digital engagement, and share archaeology with wider and more diverse audiences.

The associated projects will help transform how the organisation creates, manages, and engages audiences with its content. Working collaboratively across teams and with external partners, this role will also contribute to key initiatives such as the rollout of future organisational branding, youth engagement activities, and co-created content with members, supporters and the Young Associates Network, ensuring content is inclusive, engaging and responsive to audience needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
