The Content & Digital Asset Lead operates within a product management framework, treating the company's digital assets and content as products that require continuous development, user feedback integration, and lifecycle management. This role focuses on maximizing the value of digital content and assets across all platforms, ensuring they meet business objectives and consumer needs. You will act as a bridge between technical, creative, and business teams, employing a product mindset to drive innovation and effectiveness in content usage and digital asset management.

The Content and Digital Asset lead is a new role within the central team and will play a critical role in leading out this exciting change agenda for the organisation. As such the Content & Digital Asset Lead influences and provides guidance to markets on utilising the DAM, maintaining a central point of view on taxonomy, workflow processes, whilst owning its overall implementation and optimisation. This person bridges the gap between markets use the DAM for, and what it can be used for in total, maximising its benefits and acting as a subject matter expert for optimising content across the consumer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the establishment of a global community of Content and Asset management practitioners and drive consistent ways of working with the DAM platform across local markets to enable standardisation and sharing of best practices.
  • Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels to drive awareness, use and adoption of the DAM platform in markets.
  • Coaching, training, and mentoring the local platform Lead.
  • Keeping abreast of the DAM platforms current and planned roadmap features and collating potential DAM platform feature improvements identified across markets and ensuring these are being considered by the vendor in future platform development.
  • Ensuring service delivery levels are being maintained by the platform supplier.
  • Product Strategy Development: Define and continuously refine the digital asset management strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation within the digital asset space that can drive competitive advantage.
  • User and Market Research: Conduct ongoing user research to understand the needs and behaviours of internal and external stakeholders. Use insights to inform the DAM system's evolution, ensuring it remains responsive to user needs and market trends.
  • Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a product roadmap for digital asset management, prioritizing initiatives based on business value, user feedback, and technical feasibility. Ensure transparency and alignment across stakeholders regarding roadmap updates and strategic direction.
  • Feature Definition and Prioritization: Work closely with technical teams to define features and requirements for the DAM system.
  • Prioritize the backlog based on strategic priorities, user value, and effort to ensure focused and effective development cycles.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Performance Metrics and OKR’s: Establish and monitor Objectives and Key Results for digital asset management, focusing on user adoption, efficiency gains, and contribution to business goals.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about future improvements and investments.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to train and onboard teams, identifying relevant training tactics for differing stakeholders.
  • Good communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly comfortable working with metadata, taxonomy, digital rights, search facets, and web-publishing processes.
  • Experienced with implementing Digital Asset Management Platforms within distributed organisations.
  • Familiarity with Content management Systems (CMS), ticketing systems, project management tools, Product Information Management (PIM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) skills.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable leader with the ability to deliver in a timely and professional manner.
  • Motivated by a consumer focus and committed to delivering innovative, data-driven, personalised consumer experiences.
  • Product Management Experience: Demonstrated ability in applying product management principles and tools to manage digital assets or similar technical products.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management from conception to launch and iteration.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience with Agile development processes, capable of working in fast-paced environments, and adept at managing change through iterative development and feedback.
