Hello! We’re Marshfield Farm, a home, a farm and a multi award-winning ice cream maker.
Owned and ran by the Hawking family since 1988, we tend to eleven hundred acres of farmland on the Cotswold Way and every drop of fresh milk in our ice cream can be traced back to the fields we call home. Our award-winning flavours are all made here on the farm, our fresh milk is taken only metres into our on-site ice creamery where it remains the primary ingredient across our galaxy of flavours!
We’re B Corp certified and farm regeneratively. You’ll find our ice cream in restaurants, cafes, farm shops and parlours all over the country, but not in the big supermarkets. That’s on purpose.
We’re looking for someone to help us tell that story.
The role
This is a varied Marketing Executive position covering content, digital marketing, integrated campaigns, events, website management and marketing operations.
You’ll look after our content and digital channels day to day: social, email, our website trade hub and blog. One week you’ll be in wellies filming in the parlour, the next you’ll be pulling apart last month’s numbers to work out what we should do more of. Both matter equally to us.
This would suit a proactive and organised marketer who enjoys working across the full marketing mix and wants the opportunity to develop within an innovative, fast-moving business.
You’ll report to Marketing Manager and work closely with our designer and the sales team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you’ll be doing
- Plan, create and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn; shooting and editing plenty of it yourself
- Look after our online community day to day, answering messages and comments
- Build and send email campaigns to both consumer and trade audiences
- Keep the website fresh: blog posts with news from the farm, marketing tools for our trade hub
- Support product launches, seasonal campaigns and partnerships from first idea through to final report
- Get out to trade shows, sampling days and customer events, and come back with the content to share
- Help put together trade materials, POS, brochures and posters, alongside our designer
- Track how it’s all performing, and use what you find to make the next campaign better
- You’ll own your area, but you’ll also be working and collaborating with sales, design, farming, production and the wider team
What you’ll bring
- Around two to four years in a marketing role, in-house or agency
- Strong copy writing. You can find the story in a field of cows and make people care about it
- Hands-on social media experience, including shooting and editing your own videos, and happy to be in front of the camera as well as behind it
- A self-starter. Our social channels, emails and trade hub will be yours to own, and we’re after someone who spots the content opportunity and goes out and gets it, rather than waiting to be briefed
- Confidence with email platforms, a CMS and analytics, we use Klaviyo, HubSpot, Meta Business Suite, Shopify and GA4, but we’d rather have someone who picks things up quickly than someone who’s used our exact stack
- A genuine interest in the numbers. You like knowing whether something worked, and you’re happy being measured on it
- Organised, with several projects and deadlines on the go at once
- A full driving licence and your own transport
- Food, farming or drinks experience is a bonus rather than a must. Curiosity is the must.
